Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy
Last updated January 2026
Summary: if you can’t make it to your lesson, avoid fees by switching to an online lesson or rescheduling well in advance of your lesson.
Switching to an online lesson:
In the event that you cannot attend your in-person lesson, switching to an online lesson is strongly encouraged over rescheduling or cancelling.
There is no fee for switching to an online lesson at any time, even at very short notice.
Last-minute online lessons must be paid for before the end of the lesson. For occasional or one-off online lessons, this is most easily done by bank transfer. You will be provided with payment details at the time of your request to switch.
Requesting to reschedule:
Rescheduling with more than 24 hours’ notice incurs no fee but as a courtesy, it is requested that you give as much advance notice as possible.
If no mutually agreeable time within four working days of the original lesson time can be found, however, then this is effectively a cancellation, which incurs a fee equivalent to 25% of the lesson price. Availability is very limited and therefore not guaranteed.
Rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice incurs a fee equivalent to 25% of the lesson price.
If no mutually agreeable time within four working days of the original lesson time can be found, however, then this is effectively a cancellation, which incurs a fee equivalent to the full lesson price. Availability is very limited and therefore not guaranteed.
A rescheduling request must be confirmed in writing (e.g. via email or text message).
Cancelling:
Lessons can only be cancelled by submitting a Cancellation Form or by emailing cancel@rsmts.com and following the instructions which will be sent to you automatically.
Cancelling with more than 48 hours’ notice incurs no fee but as a courtesy, it is requested that you give as much advance notice as possible.
Cancelling with 24–48 hours’ notice incurs a fee equivalent to 25% of the lesson price.
Cancelling for any reason with less than 24 hours’ notice incurs a fee equivalent to the full lesson price.
In the event that the Cancellation Form or the auto-responder should fail, or you have an outstanding fee to pay, please visit: https://rsmts.com/pay-to-cancel
Failure to ensure prompt payment will result in a “no-show” being recorded, and the fee still stands.
No-show:
Missing a lesson, either in person or online, with no prior notice (“no-show”) incurs a fee equivalent to the full lesson price, payable immediately at https://rsmts.com/pay-to-cancel
Repeated no-shows or failure to pay promptly may result in termination of lessons.
